amuck, amuck, amuck

so last night was one of cheap rum drinking that led to severe intoxication.

oh my!!

so much so that i ended up with a very, very vague memory of running to the car dressed only in my thong looking for god-knows what. only catch is that my scantily clad adventure down the drive way was spotted by my neighbors. keep in mind that for most of today, i thought naked at the car was a dream. found out it was reality when my neighbors brought up seeing my naked body at dinner. desire to die much?

worst part is when asked the ways of how the great streaking even occurred, i did not have an answer - that part of memory is too too fuzzy.

however, it did spark the great-get-into-the-hot-tub-naked-night at my neighbors'.

a weird night to complete a weird day. today was my appointment with the medium. weird day indeed. i think it will take me a bit of time to process the medium's words. but much like palm woman's words - it is The Southern Gentleman and I - - 2 to 3 children - - I move to be with The Southern Gentleman and lots of goodness is coming....

while i want it now - 2009 is the big year. so only 6 more months of my constant complaining!!!

drunk girl - out! xoxo

Wednesday Palm Madness

I got off the fence. A few weeks ago I made an appointment for a reading. For the first time ever, I feel as though I know a little too much. It was a lot of information to process. But I definitely got the direction I was seeking because quite honestly lately I have been feeling a bit lost in terms of the big picture.

Over the years, I have realized it is important to document these readings; years later it generally makes sense. I scheduled a private reading ~ not fair stuff where there are distactions abound.

I made the trek to her place. It was a scenic drive and just long enough to make me question why the hell I was doing this. The view was breathtaking.

Funny thing is - toxic Montana Man is first on the menu. I was given explicit directions on how to rid myself of him. The lesson to learn is for me and not him. I have to stand up to him. In a past life, rather than deal with him, I threw myself off a bridge. Since I took the jumper route as opposed to dealing with him, I am forced to deal with him now. With zero help from me, she nailed the amount of money he owes as well as how much I have been paid to date. Also interesting was that she mentioned his desired "friends" arrangement.

Next up, my moving. She stated I'd move to a city that started with either a "C" or an "N" - however not "Chicago". Wheels turned in my head and I shared with her the location that I thought those letters represented becuase the distinction was undeniable - The Southern Gentleman's realm.

We spend time on The Southern Gentleman. It is him. Marriage will occur between 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 years from now. She said she kept seeing a gaugue like a gas tank gauge swinging between 1 1/4 and 1 3/4. She said she sees us walking by a river (same as the SuperFly Palm lady). The river. She tells me we'll have two children - a boy and a girl and it appears there will be a surprise third - a little boy becuase he is hiding behind the legs of his older brother. The first son will tell us he wants a little brother. She then asks me if The Southern Gentleman is Asian or of some ethnic descent that would cause the first boy to have dark skin. I confirmed that it is The Southern Gentleman. She breathed a sign of relief due to my pastey whitness. She said the girl will favor my fair complexion. She further went on to say that I will be pregnant shortly after we get married, possibly just before we get married. Wackiness is that SuperFly said the same thing "you guys will hit it and you'll be preggo right after getting married." Yikes!

My great love of children was discussed even though my childhood was not ideal. I had an aunt who showed me great love - yes. I travel for work and pleasure, meshing the two - yes - and I will continue that throughout my life. I will want to move in June but in reality it will be mid- July/August. Wedding by the ocean; a honeymoon involving a boat (maybe a cruise) becuase she saw a ship's wake. One side of The Southern Gentleman's family is quite large becuase they turn a corner and she cannot see them all. She asks if I sketch - no - she then asks if The Southern Gentleman does - and he does as he always draws little things in the cards he sends me. He will do some sort of little sketching for my book. Yes, the writing came up. The fact that I am dabbling now. Writing, cooking, and "something with push pins" - could not figure out the push pin thing. I will start new things.

For work, I sepnd a lot of time on the phone - bingo! I will be done with work sooner than I think. Starting own business and it will branch into two, but one will be more successful than the other. She described that The Southern Gentleman favors one side when he walks - and he does. He enjoys my independence. We discussed how he has always wanted to help solve my various problem and that his "big brother"ness is due to the fact that we were siblings in a past life. Although I will not work for the same company, my life will continue to have a level of work stress, however due it being my own (our) business, the stress will be manageable as even with the option to be a stay-at-home mother, I will not go that route. I need to put forth my feelings for The Southern Gentleman.

There was a diagonal line through my right hand that shows The Southern Gentleman coming into my life and intersecting all levels of my life. She asked which of us was "the lucky one" - actually both of us are, for our ages we've both done quite well - how this star-on-top-of-star is on my hand, together we will have this powerful synergy.

Our conversation spanned two hours, with only 50 minutes of reading she charged me for. I was bowled over by the three children - that was a little to much information - but at least I know that was is in my heart is correct, that whole trust my intution thing. Maybe she is a fake, maybe she isn't. Whatever it is, I feel more confident in being open with The Southern Gentleman and maybe that is all that matters.

Surreal Kickoff to the New Year

Last night, I had a surreal experience. I was lighting the candles on my buffet as I usually do. However, this time was a little different. I was half was through my lighting, when the still air suddenly became windy and my right side felt cold, very cold. On my right side, I felt a presence. The wild part was that although I knew someone was there beside me, I felt no fear. It was bizarre yet cool at the same time. I knew who it was. And it made me very happy. It gives me a lot of hope for next Saturday.

Weekend Company - or I am too tired to come up with a decent title

The Southern Gentleman arrives on Friday afternoon. I so need to begin sketching out a high level weekend plan. For some crazy reason, I don't feel the need to have a full tour planned and ready. I think that is because that is not quite how The Southern Gentleman rolls... he is mellow and laid back and quite honestly I think he needs to have input on the schedule of events. I need to work on not being the one in control in a male-female dynamic - offering suggestions to pick from as opposed to a schedule.

Of course, the SuperFly Palm lady had a different opinion on my The Southern Gentleman is it theory. As is, per SuperFly Palm, I don't know who the Mystery Meat is. Which disappointed me. More on that later. But I will definitely capitalize on all opportunities. Because you see, free will is involved and I still have conscious choices to make regarding all of this brew-ha-ha. That I know for certain.

However, the problem lies in my mother's new and constant rant about the whole situation. A rant that over uses colloquialisms in excess. If I hear one more time "a bird in the hand," I am going to spoon my eyes out with a dull butter knife. The more she rants, the more I want to move to The South and be even further away from her.

I was quite distraught when SuperFly Palm point blank told me I was not moving any time soon. When I questioned her explicitly, she told me "why would you move, when the man is in The Republic, so the answer is no." Urgh! But I love love love it out here in SxSW land! This is home and the Mystery Meat is in The Republic - damn him! It may be the point where I say screw the Mystery Meat and go where I am truly happiest of all.

I am going to keep rolling with the punches here. Because that's all I can do and I will make sure I have a damn good time doing it.

Next dilemma, what to wear to pick up The Southern Gentleman from the airport???

Palm-o-rific!

Yesterday. Oh. Boy!

I could be coming face-to-face with destiny today. If not today, it will be soon, very soon.

Some days you never quite know where life is going to take you.

More later. Have to start my day!

The Future... it's anyone's guess now

My beloved psychic passed away. I tried calling for an appointment. The phone had been disconnected. When I saw her last year, somehow I knew that was my last reading, my last time seeing the woman who saw so much. Letting my fingers do some walking, I found her obituary complete with her photo.

She was such a gifted, honest psychic using her incredible powers to help other. She told me things, things I would not understand for years. But after enough time passed, everything she said made perfect sense.

It is funny because in my early readings, I always thought she was speaking of my situation in the "now" (that was "then"). Time passed, life happened, I listened to my tapes years later only to begin to comprehend that she saw into deeper into the future that I realized. During my first reading, she spoke my leaving a relationship, a marriage. At the time, I thought it was my relationship at the time - a med student I was walking away from. What she was seeing was me walking away from my marriage six years later, talking about it ending before I even met my ex-Leech.

My last reading that took place last spring was all about Montana Man. Every single second was about him. She told me she was 99% sure I met the man I was supposed to spend my life with. She saw me up at the ranch (I'd not visited yet but she saw my visit up there too) with three children. She saw the log cabin surrounded by trees and me there with three children years before too. The man was a Libra or a lawyer. You can guess - Montana Man is a Libra and he has two children. I am to assume the third child is one we are to have together. She described the Montana property to a "t", so much so that when I laid eyes on it last year, I felt some level of deja vu.

But so much has happened. So much has changed since April 2006. Life is not on the same track as when I saw her last. I wanted to see her to know whether my choices made via free will had changed the landscape. Or is it just that once again, she was seeing things many years down the road.... maybe in five years that too will make perfect sense. Now I will never know until the time comes to pass. No more sneak peeks at coming attractions because my beloved psychic is now resting peaceful.

Palm Sunday

Cuz and I got our palms read in January. At that reading, the Palmist asked me who the two little kids were that I was sitting on the carpet playing with regularly. I knew no children. Two week later I met MM - hence the two small children I would play.

I decided to go see the Palmist again. Today was the day. Cuz and the baby came. Of course, the baby was hungry and the Palmist was running behind, so Cuz went to car and did not get read.

Right off the bat, Palmist speaks of the car - the grey car - and the stopping motion of my discovery of the ease with which it can switch from automation to manual transmission. She had a difficult time beginning because I was giving off such an intense energy - the tingling of the intense emotion that has become a part of my life of late.

Two areas of focus - job and men.

As for job, looks like my new job will become a reality. She feels it will be about two weeks until I hear anything. Palmist spoke of my friend on the inside and the man she reports to. That I will go in sideways - not directly - which is how the entire process has been. The job isn't going to be perfect but I will get out of it what I want. Sometimes it will entail doing the work of two people - a given at the company. Woo hoo - new job!

Men. MM came across loud and clear and she said that he is not "the one." In fact, need to get him out of my life. She asked if there were two men in my life right now - that would be a big no - then she asked if he had a split personality - Bingo, Mr. mild Bi-polar-leaning-toward-depression. She said that he said a lot of hurtful thing to me - Yes. I have been crying a lot, all the time a lot - Yes. For about three months - Yes. She nailed what MM looked like.

Three significant relationships - the Leech (a la ex), MM, and mystery man #3 looming on the horizon. Of course the horizon is a loooong way off - 2 years away - I'll be 34. Back in January, she said I'd met Mr. Right within 1.5 years, possibly married within that time. Who knows?!

But she was pretty positive about the 2 years, about 34 years old. And he will be dark haired and similar in appearance to MM. Instant attraction - had that with MM. Mr. Mysteriouso will just slide into my life.

The depression came up. Great news, my depression lines run deep! Fucking wonderful. But the ugliest is behind me.

I have three stars on my right hand - present and future hand - a star each for my talent, work, communication. Things are supposed to calm down - stress won't go away completely - but will be a lot calmer than it is now. She emphasized that the shit going on now is temporary.

She told me that I need to get out there - to make a point of going out and looking around. Only with the caveat that in my depressed state, I will probably attract men in the same mental state.

My independence line is strong - well yeah.

I was told to finish the book as well. And I do need to get to that - maybe it won't be as draining as the depression lessens.

That's all I can remember. For $25, I was delighted.

A Special Birthday Greeting

Saturday evening prior to heading out to trivia, I had an unusual experience. An experience I won't share with many people. An experience that many people would not believe.

My main bathroom is not used often. I have a small lamp that sits in the far corner of the counter top. Again, the lamp is rarely turned on. Remember I live alone - that is key.

I brought the clean and folded laundry upstairs to actually keep it in a timely manner. I went out into the hallway to get the second laundry basket and as I came up the stairs, I noticed the bathroom lamp was on.

I kept walking and then it dawned on me - WTF!! The light is on! How? Why? Cautiously I went back to the bathroom and yes, the lamp was on. My heart stopped. Initially, I was worried the spirit of the old Indian lady that lives my office was expanding her territory. But then I thought back on when my great-aunt died earlier this year.

On the morning of my great-aunt's funeral, a light bulb burst with a loud noise when I turned on a light. It was odd and I knew it was my great-aunt. (Yes, I watch a little too much Sylvia Brown and John Edward!)

That was when I realized, that lamp in the bathroom was a sign from my great-aunt. She popped in for my birthday. My great-aunt was very special to me - she was always more my grandmother than an aunt. She was one of the very first people to see me when I was born and she came to visit me for my birthday this year too.

My fear of the unexplained light turned into the warmth of love overflowing. I told her thank you for coming to see me. It is nice to know she is looking out for me. It is also nice to know that I can recognize her sign too.
